Your Friendly Devon Dental Clinic: Devon Neighbourhood Dental

Dr. Laheeb Quddusi is a Devon dentist who grew up in the town of Devon, Alberta, and has the qualifications and experience to treat patients with tender-loving care. His Devon dental clinic, Devon Neighbourhood Dental was first established in 2001 by his mother, Dr. Sima Quddusi. At that time, she had just one staff member, a receptionist, to assist with the operations. Dr. Laheeb has lived in Devon for more than 20 years and is committed to serving the members of his local community by helping them stay healthy.

Our Devon dental clinic is located quite conveniently, in the heart of the town, and can be easily found on the highway, next to the main grocery store used by all the locals in the town. What separates our Devon dental clinic from other commercial dental practices is that it is not a franchise. Devon Neighbourhood Dental provides a very warm and friendly environment to all our patients and this is why they keep returning to us for all their dental needs.

Serving the entire Devon community

At our Devon dental clinic, we provide consultation to all members of your family, including teenagers and small children, and the elderly. Whether you need a simple dental filling or an extensive root canal procedure, we have the expertise to restore your teeth to good health.

Each treatment at the Devon Neighbourhood Dental clinic begins with a comprehensive initial consultation during which Dr. Quddusi examines the general condition of your teeth along with the specific problems. The initial consultation allows him to suggest suitable treatment methods for resolving your dental worries.

The importance of visiting a dentist

Why is it crucial to visit your local dentist on a regular basis?

The key advantage of routine dental check-ups is that it helps maintain the health of your gums and teeth. So, you don’t necessarily need to have a cavity or a broken tooth to pay your dentist a visit every few months or at least once in six months. Many people are simply scared to visit a dentist because they anticipate a problem and do not wish to undergo treatment. The truth is that modern dentistry is so highly advanced that nearly all procedures are painless and cause minimal discomfort. Also, the recovery process is quick and easy.

If you’re wondering what happens during a dental visit, this might help:

A routine dental visit is composed of two main parts: an examination or check-up and teeth cleaning. Dr. Quddusi will have a look at your teeth and check for any cavities and other possible damage (for example, cracked/chipped/broken teeth). X-rays might be needed for some patients in order to spot cavities in between the teeth. Dr. Quddusi also typically conducts an exam for identifying tartar and plaque on the teeth. For those who don’t know much about plaque, it is a sticky and transparent bacterial layer found on the teeth. When plaque is not eliminated, it could solidify to become tartar. No amount of flossing and brushing can remove tartar from the teeth.

Dr. Quddusi recommends a complete dental check-up after every six months to keep yourself free from all kinds of oral diseases. He believes that the hygiene of your mouth has a significant impact on your overall health. At Devon Neighbourhood Dental, we offer a broad range of dental services, starting with preventative care to general dentistry and even specialized treatments and total dental reconstruction. During your visit, Dr. Quddusi will also give you some helpful tips on how to keep your teeth healthy in-between routine dental visits. These may include guidance on brushing and flossing techniques and food habits.

We offer a friendly, compassionate, and informative environment to our patients so that they feel comfortable and leave the clinic feeling extremely satisfied with their service. Call us today to schedule your appointment with Dr. Laheeb Quddusi at Devon Neighbourhood Dental.
